Meet Your Lash Expert - Amanda
I’m excited to share a little bit about my journey with you! I’m originally from Bristol, England, but in 2013, I packed my bags (and my dreams) and moved to Australia.
Until lashes came into my life in 2017, my career was all about corporate sales. I started at 18 in a car insurance call centre, where I quickly excelled and started training new hires, helping them crush their sales targets. From there, I moved into advertising and then, in Australia moved into digital marketing, eventually landing a sponsorship from a Brisbane agency. I loved the challenge of sales, but deep down, I knew something wasn’t quite right.
I wasn’t passionate about the work anymore. I was living for the weekends, and that’s when I realised I needed a change.
In 2017, I discovered lash extensions. Honestly, it started out as a side hustle. I wanted to learn something creative and fun—just a way to unwind. But as soon as I started applying lashes, I was hooked. I loved how a fresh set of lashes could transform someone’s entire look and confidence, and I loved the artistry behind it. What began as a hobby quickly became my obsession. I knew then that I was meant to do this for a living.
Within a year, I took the plunge and left my corporate job behind. I co-founded a salon and over 5 years, I grew that business into a commercial success, creating a training academy to help lash artists from all over the world learn, grow, and excel in their craft.
I trained hundreds of students, from complete beginners to seasoned pros, and I found that nothing lit me up more than watching my students develop their skills, their confidence, and their businesses. But as the business grew, so did the demands. In 2024, after much reflection, I made the decision to step back and focus on my family and my own personal growth.
I wanted to reimagine my business and return to what I loved most, creating stunning lashes and empowering others to do the same.
And that’s how Fabulash Boutique, in its current form, was born. Now, as a solo CEO, I’m more focused than ever on my mission to make the lash industry more open, inclusive, and accessible. For years, the industry has been surrounded by gatekeeping - secretive techniques, exclusive training, and barriers to entry. I’m on a mission to change that. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just as a lash artist, but as a business owner and entrepreneur. My passion is helping others build their skills, but more importantly, helping them build the confidence to succeed in their careers and their lives. Whether I’m lashing or training, my goal is always the same: to help you feel confident, empowered, and capable. I want to share everything I’ve learned over the years so that you can walk away not just with beautiful lashes, but with the tools to take your business to the next level.
